Sewing Projects Oliver and S Sunday Brunch Skirt and Classic Picnic Blouse Round 2!

After a crazy couple of weeks I finally got a chance today to take the time to finish Miss O’s new outfit! The perfect partner to her Oliver and S Forest cape, this outfit really is something special.

I was a little worried when I started this project that the results may be a little bit too grown up for Miss O, though I’m glad to say now it’s finished I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The perfect shade of girly pink, it suits Miss O to a T and matched with her new gold Mary Janes  and a bow in her hair will make the perfect outfit to brighten up the cooler months.

It’s no secret I love the Oliver and S Classic Picnic Blouse pattern, with this being the forth I’ve sewn for Miss O. Not only do they look great, they are easy to sew and best of all easy to wrestle onto a wriggly toddler! And by far the best winter partner to the picnic blouse has to be the Sunday brunch skirt. A dream to sew and as beautiful inside as out it is the perfect little skirt to team back with a pair of tights and with the elastic waist is again easy to put on. And whilst I love the previous version I sewed a few weeks back the silk tweed makes this version just that bit more special. The perfect outfit for High Tea on a cool winters day.
